Special Mine Services, Inc. has recently completed testing and analysis by Underwriters Laboratories (UL) in regards to degradation caused by Ultra-Violet (UV) radiation.
Upon a thorough analysis of all of the proprietary rubber compounds used to manufacture SMS Connectors, it has been determined that SMS Connectors exhibit no negative effects due to prolonged exposure by UV radiation.
“This provides yet another advantage SMS Connectors has over the competition,” said Marshall Girtman, Domestic and International Sales Rep. “This provides end-users more confidence in the durability and lifecycle of SMS Connectors.”
These findings are critically important in several applications of SMS Connectors. One such application is open-pit mining operations, specifically at high altitudes.
